Ditch the disposable furniture lifestyle and grab yourself something original, iconic and a forever piece. This maverick led the way in modular shelving and no one has done it as well since. 
Built as a standalone piece that clips together and uses geometry and a wall to hold it up. It does stand up unsupported. BUT! In the 60’s it was acceptable (and your own fault) if your kid climbed it and it flattened them. Things have changed, just ask Ikea!
